Bathroom Tubs - The
Different Choices!
Baby Tubs,
Walk-In Bathtubs, Whirlpool...
Walk-In Tubs
| Hot Tubs
Bathroom tubs can last practically a lifetime,
however, if you have the cash to spare then updating your bathroom
to the latest trend completes your home. After all, the
bathroom and kitchen are the most important rooms in your
house.
Baby Tubs
I thought I would start with the bath tub for
baby. While this does not change the style of your bathroom
or is of any great expense, I know that many soon-to-be mothers
need to find the right bath tub for their newborn. There are
many different variations of baby bath tubs so I thought I
would address a couple of those here.
If you suffer from back problems then you must
take into account that you might have to bend over while bathing
your baby. If you have a small stand-alone bath tub then
it will probably be best to bathe baby with the tub sitting on a
bench-top. This means that you won't have to bend over and
you will be at the same level as your baby making it a fun and
memorable experience.
There are also baby tubs that rest on top of the
bath rim. You don't necessarily have to bend over to bath
your baby as you could just kneel beside him/her. This kind
of bath tub for baby tends to have its own plug so the water is
eadily drained out into the big bath. I have personally used
both the free standing bath tub and the tub which rests on the
bath. I personally found the latter one the best as bathing
time is taking place in the bathroom which is the place where it's
supposed to happen!
Whirlpool Tubs
If you want to get a tub away from traditional
bathroom tubs then why not get a whirlpool? Did you know that
there are three different kinds of whirlpools? First there is
the Hydrology tub, this is the most popular type of whirlpool and
it pumps out jetted water from about 6-8 jets situated around
the tub. The second is the Thermal Air tub which is where
heated air bubbled are evenly circulated around
the body. These bubbles are controlled by a thermastat
so you are in control of how warm you want it. The third
one is the Combo which is a combination of the hydrology
and thermal air tubs.
When choosing a whirlpool tub you will have to
research into each one in detail as if you have a medical condition
or small children then this will have to be taken into
consideration. As far as I am aware the Combo tub will be the
best choice for families as you have total control over all aspects
of what a whirlpool has to offer.
Jacuzzi's
A jacuzzi isn't that dissimilar to a
whirlpool in that it works by hydrology. A jacuzzi is
actually just a brand-name for a spa and all jacuzzi spa's are
built round the jet system and are known to help work on muscles
and is great for relieving stress and relaxing.
As Jacuzzi is a brand-name, the manufacturer's are
always improving on the design and features of their spa's.
Therefore there are practically unlimited designs of the jacuzzi
which can actually make it more of a difficult choice when choosing
one because there are so many to choose from. However, on the
other hand, if you are wanting a jacuzzi with specific features in
mind, then you'll more than likely be able to find one to suit you
and your needs.
These are only a few of the bathroom tubs which are
on the market today. So to summarize, baby tubs are easy to
find and buy and a one which sits on the bath rim is the best and
for relaxation and muscle massage, the whirlpool and jacuzzi's are
the way to go.
